The following products represent single components or groups of components that work together. The components listed below are either special server components that were designed to run on the Internet Information Server, stand alone COM objects that can run on IIS or be called from other COM enabled languages and applications, or .NET controls to run in .NET applications.

Component grouping is a logical way to group COM objects and controls that work together. Some functionality can not be achieved using a single object, so vendors create multiple objects that work together to get the job done. For example ADO (Active Data Objects) is a group of objects namely the connection object, record set object, command object, and others. The benefit to grouping the objects together is the ability to describe the functionality of the objects accurately. For example, without grouping it would be hard to understand how the ADO objects together to become a complete data access solution.
